Explore
Experience the extreme 16-meter (53-foot) tides of the Bay of Fundy. You can walk on the exposed ocean floor and view giant sea stacks.
Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park is the primary location to watch the Bay of Fundy tides cycle. Every 6 hours and 13 minutes, the water level changes dramatically. Adult entry is around CAD 13–16 and is valid for two consecutive days.
You can walk on the ocean floor during low tide. Always check official tide tables before your visit. You must return to the stairs at least two hours before high tide to avoid getting trapped.

1 hour99 steps to ocean floor
A 99-step metal staircase descends directly onto the exposed ocean floor at low tide. This is where you walk among the towering rocks. Wear closed-toe shoes you do not mind permanently staining in the red mud.

45 minutesQuiet cove photography
Find this sandy and rocky cove at the southern end of the park. It offers a quieter perspective of the bay and excellent photography angles. You will see unique geological stones, but taking them is strictly prohibited.
